PC has done gaming longer and better then consoles so hell yea its ok. besides your PS is 7th gen.(2.5 yrs ago lol) While I can play litirally every PC game out right now I can't say I am 100% satisfied with what I have but I don't see a new graphics card (so I can play most games at 60fps with 4x AA and grphical powerhouses like Battlefeild 3 (if I decide to get it, I'm not a big multi FPS guy) Metro last light, Far Cry 3 etc) with max details at at least 30fps on high details being worth getting until AMD and Nvidia launch their next gen cards early next year. I mean I can play most multiplats at max details at 30-60fps at 1080p so it's not like I really need it now. And I think would like to jump to a SSD to reduce load times as they aparently make a substantial boost to the experaince with far reduced load times, but they are very expensive still. sounds awsume but yea i see the limitations. I don't think I will ever have my dream rig there is just no way I am going to spend $10k+ on a machine that doesn't make games 10x better than the machine that cost me ~$1.5k ($NZ) over the last 2 and a half years including a 24in 1080p monitor, and I never spent more than $500 at any one time (after the recent price cut the PS3 statarts at around $450 here for reference). Especially considering it would only be a dream machine for ~6 months anyway. Much better to keep upgrading one or two components in the mid range evey now and then to keep playing the games I want at an awsome level which is much more cost effective. yea 10k is to much. isn't that about the cost of an Alienware computer (god i wish i had one)lol. I mean with the current generation of consoles plus the rise of laptops etc it's not like games really require that beefy hardware these days, so I guess I am happy with the current "generation" of PC I have, games look great, play great and Steam sales and great indies keep me busy with a constant stream of great content and experiances for relatively little. But if there is one technical limitation that reall pisses me off it's the current state of broadband in my country with 15GB a month data caps and terrible speeds. naw no need for all that harware. i personaly don't need anything that looks better then Uncharted2. thats the peak for me i need nothing more. wow those speeds suck. |
