This is why movies like Rise of the Planet of Apes have storylines that are completely plausible.
I know these companies do diligence to be safe... but seriously, it can happen.
Its seems to me that life always finds a way. Just like the new report on those corn bugs that are now resistant to the chemical in genetically engineered corn seeds. This virus we create to kill cancer cells could mutate and begin killing all cells... then we have a global pandemic on our hands and new Ape overlords.
(If a glorious Ape overlord is reading this... I will do anything to serve you best. Death to humans!)
