Brother, no offense intended, but the Brits (Englishmen especially) invented and perfected the "better than you" attitude. We're just trying to keep up. I'll grant you Americans are very arrogant; however, the last people who should condemn us for that, are the British.

Noted (i am english) and i do admit that in the past we have been very arrogant especially withe the empire and all but nowadays we arent like that in fact we didnt big ourselves up in the war even though we completed the whole thing whereas america (granted you saved our asses) came in at the end and then proclaimed your heroicness from the rooftops. BTW im talking about modern america/britain when i say im offended because i wasnt around in the past when we were arrogent.

I'm not even referring to the past and certainly not the Wars. I've been to London and I have a couple of buddies from England who live here. Awesome fellas but arrogance isn't a stereotype with almost every Englishman I've known; it's a rule that there are some exceptions to. I'm not saying it's, necessarily, a bad thing because arrogance is something that is (ideally) earned.
On the other hand, I do tend to gravitate towards people with strong personalities so my personal test group may be tainted. Haha.
I don't know why Americans are so vocal about our part in the war other than the fact that it was the last time we had a decisive victory over a known and clearcut evil. But we do know that it was Britain that did the lion's share of the work there. But let's not talk about the WW's it never leads anywhere good.
