MS is doing fine, but they are indeed a mammoth in a market that prefers flexibility.

He is either wrong or purposely missinformed as a 2:1 microsoft stock split happened in 2003.

Google is also fairly flat since their big rise in 2006 and Intel stock is actually down from ~$35 in 2001 to $20s today with no splits.
