On the other hand, I will take a dumbass "evil" person over a smart, educated one any day of the week.

A dumb criminal goes to a bank with a mask.

A smart criminal goes to Wall Street in a suit.

The later causes massive damage and get away with it.

And then, let's go to the levels of smartness here (criminal here will mean more general term of doer of evil and not just breaker of law):

* On the next level, the criminal who did such would also do it in such away that they are not able to get charged for any crimes, eventhough harming lots of people in the process and destroying lives.

* On the level beyond that, the criminal will then not only use the current system to maximize his own wealth and not break any laws, but also work to change the laws so that doing such is able to be gotten away with..

* On the level beyond this, the criminal ends up not being the one to change the laws, but to get others to do it, and help to foster and promote a culture that is supported, where a lot of people get harmed and such is chalked up as "the free market at work".  And, on top of that, the individuals who get harmed are turned into individuals to be despised by this.  Yes, foster a culture where individuals are driven to take more risk than they should, because this criminal is seen as a role model.

Well, back to the earlier points, yes the stupid criminal is better than the smart one.
