For one, the games on the Wii U will probably end up being more appealing, what with the increased third party support and Nintendo's usual amazing first party games. Plus, playing games with just a touch screen is still less than ideal, which gives the Wii U the edge, what with actual buttons and analog nubs.

And just to point out,, this is bullshit. The iPad isn't making a huge hit on the console market. Handhelds, yes. Consoles, no. The iPad and iPhone are not meant for long, epic games like the consoles are. It's known for short, little games you can play on the bus, which is what the 3DS and Vita are also targeting. Hence, the iPad making more of an impact on the high profile hardware that has the same goal.
