The story behind the CD-i is pretty interesting.  For anyone who doesn't know, Nintendo and Sony used to be pretty close; the sound chip in the SNES was designed by Sony, and there were plans for the two to create a CD add-on for the SNES.  Unfortunately after a falling out over control, Nintendo partnered with Philips and licensed properties like Zelda and Mario for games on the CD-i... HUGE mistake.  As a result, horrible abominations like "Hotel Mario" and the game below were spawned (not made or published by Nintendo, obviously).

Seriously, if anyone here is prone to nightmares after watching scary movies, has health or heart problems, etc, watch this video at your own risk!  

 

 

yep and that situation broght about PS1. i'm glad i wen back forthis post. that was horrible! noone should be tourcherd like that.
