Not quite sure how describing different methods for shading and anti-aliasing between the platforms can be turned into fanboy bait. I think it's hoping to put PS3 gamers' minds at ease a little because when a multiplat game uses the same method for these technical things almost invariably the PS3 version gets the raw deal quality-wise. DICE actually going to the effort of using the PS3 architecture as intended is a welcome change from the approach of many/most multiplat devs.

Question is, the accusation has been made that EA is conspiring to get PS3 fanboys to do their dirty work. But is there any objective evidence? I would think it's dangerous for EA to try to get rabid platform fanboys to take down the competition because they risk pissing off 360 FPS fanboys and thereby pissing off the gamers on the platform that has a much bigger FPS market. Seems like a really dumb strategy. I don't think EA are that dumb.

Promoting it to PS3 fans is good. Trying to get PS3 fanboys to destroy the competition is idiotic.
