I'm betting my entire life's savings on the 3DS mopping the floor with the PSV but after reading the article, the man may have a point. Video games are a pretty social thing, these days. Pokemon became big because it made you interact with other people in order to "catch 'em all". Xbox Live is what it is because of the social aspect of it. The 3DS's biggest shortcoming (aside from the current library) is how hard Nintendo makes it to actually socialize with other gamers.

I can't send anybody messages, game invites, or communicate with them via the 3DS (I guess I could sent them an email....). With the PSV, they already plan on having cross game chat! Nintendo need to realize the importance of having a decent online infrastructure or the PSV will have a fighting chance.

In the end 3DS will sell more because of the blind following Nintendo tends to have as opposed to fans going after quality. The moment ANOTHER pokemon releases along with ANOTHER Mario game it sells like gang busters despite so many apparent shortcomings. However, if the Vita manages to do a good job in the social aspect of things it may not only outsell but rather wipe the floor with the 3DS (playing their cards right of course but Sony has proven to make stupid choices in the recent gen).

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.
