having multis on your console be superior will really get you far since most great games are multi now, gta rdr cod ect.
its really sad to see the console that was released later (PS3) not have the superior multis, this has always been a issue with PS consoles and continues again this gen. for costumers paying high amounts of $$$ for a PS3 compared to other consoles and then having to deal with inferior products its not good for sony b/c those costumers will feel more confident going with the xbox brand when buying time comes next gen

You know, your fanboyism gets more and more annoying every single day.
I would never, ever purchase the $199 Xbox. That being said, the PS3 is currently $249 and the 360 is $299. On top of that, you will be paying $50 per year for Xbox Live. if you have the console for 5 years, you are paying $549 for the Xbox 360, and still just $249 for the PS3.
Dam, it really is such a hard choice. Do I want to spend $249, or spend $549 so I can get a stupid CoD map pack 1 month earlier and have cross game chat.

So its an issue of money? Nevermind that theres always sales on Live subscriptions, you can find one for $40 if you know where to look.
Guess its a question you have to ask yourself.....are you a gamer that pays for the best or are you a gamer that coasts on sub standard services for a lesser cost?
The question I ask is: Does Live have more features then PSN? The answer is yes, regardless of cost. Thats all I need to know to make my choice as to which service I play online.

OK, so if we grant this point, ignoring the effort of going out and finding those sales, we get:
"...the PS3 is currently $249 and the 360 is $299. On top of that, you will be paying $40 per year for Xbox Live. if you have the console for 5 years, you are paying $499 for the Xbox 360, and still just $249 for the PS3."
I guess paying for Live makes you naturally defensive of doing so, and you'd think about all the "value" of having the best service, even if you hardly ever use the things that Live has an advantage over PSN in. (I believe you can still organize chat groups in ways you can't on PSN?) And you'd sneer at the fools enjoying their "bad" online experience just because they don't want to pay what you pay.
Frankly, if I was going to pay for a console service, it would be PSN+ hands down. Tons of "free" games and DLC, need I say more?

I dont see the issue. I work for a living and thats all pocket change. If your a kid then mommy and daddy buy it for you. I see no problem. Maybe you should stop any careless spending.
All I see as a gamer is Live being the best. PSN isn't "bad", just inferior by comparison. I could even go so far as saying how you play online is a measure of your dedication as a gamer; play the best or not play the best. I guess I see where you stand.
Live Gold has WEEKLY deals just as much, if not more then what PS Plus provides. Thats another advantage people seem to neglect. The saving opportunities with Live gold are amazing.
Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
