I don't think that's the case, not with Europe anyway. This years line up ... really isn't vastly different from last years, and Kinect hasn't been a huge hit in the majority of Europe.

In another article MS said they're spending a siginificant amount on advertising. I would say this in every Euro country (specific, targetted marketing), along with a price cut, will help boost sales YoY. But PS3 was a tough competitor there anyway, let alone with a price cut.


I agree kinect wasnt a huge hit in europe, and i think the fad is dying off here a little, people who loved it will obviously buy the games like dance central 2, but i dont think gears and forza are really, system sellers, well maybe gears as theres no deneying it will be a big seller, but moslty to people who already own 360's and are a a fan of the franchise, where the guy also mentioned battlefield fifa and COD, well there just all multiplat and fifa (i think correct me if im wrong) sells better on the ps3, they will definitelly get more sales on the fps games but those games will be just as much system sellers as the ps3 version, I do hope for them they are going to announce something at tokyo game show next month otherwise I don't see them taking number one spot

@ higlighted didn't think they were cutting the price they said?
