I actually agree with you. Sometimes I play a game to death and get stuck in a certain area. i get frustrated and then stop playing. After a week or so if I come back to it then it seems like I get through the problem area easily and play much better. I have wondered why this is. My analysis is that it has something to do with relaxing your brain and stop a repetative bad behavior. When coming back to the game I tend to have a somewhat different outlook, and maybe try something slighly different, or my focus will maybe more on aspect "B" rather than more focus of aspect "A" in a situation.
I have actually even noticed that on FPS games like COD multiplayer. Sometimes when playing multiplayer I start getting into a rut and doing poorly. Then I stop playing for a few days. When I come back to it I feel like I'm better, more confidence, and refreshed.

Thats my take on it.
