Most of the 3rd party games are so poor, I wouldn't be surprised if casuals were avoiding them.
Raving rabids did pretty well. You mentioned the Resident Evil games. It's a shame zack and wiki looks to be underperforming, but there aren't many deserving 3rd part games that have flooped.
It seems 3rd parties arent willing to commit the resources it takes to make decent wii games. Look at the way sega treated nights: they don't deserve to have a hit.
Maybe this will continue, maybe some developers will get things together. Currently, it seems nintendo are able to carry things on there own.
