This guy has idea what he's talking about. Resident Evil an anomaly for being a "mature" game that does well on a Wii?

More like an anomaly for being the only existing third party franchise to put any effort on the Wii! Metroid isn't selling amazingly, but then again it never has. Citing No More Heroes as an example is also pretty weak, since Suda's games never sell well, especially in Japan. So far all the even half-way decent third party games with lots of violence have done well. RE4:Wii and Red Steel are million sellers, with Umbrella Chronicles not far behind. Manhunt 2 has always been a niche title, and no one expected it to do well.

This perceived problem is another case of the relative lack of games with a long development span on the Wii. Very few people had realised the Wii was going to be the most succesful console this gen back when the games being released now started, and publishers were caught with their pants down. All kinds of games have started development since then, but obviously the crappy ones are getting here faster.

The publishers who're unwilling to put non-casual games on the Wii are regrettable, but they'll get their act together sooner or later.

Horrible articles like this is what happens when people know a lot about games, but have an incomplete picture of sales trends and the like. Let's hope they eventually start figuring out where to get accurate sales data. =P
