I strongly dislike Apple. But I can't help but be concerned for Job's.

I mean with Jack Layton just dying of cancer it makes me wonder if another great man will too.

If Steve were to die it would be a huge loss for society. He would be dearly missed.

However I am happy that with his departure Apple will be effected and possibly take a hit. I would like to see their arrogance in the industry ended. See them taken down a notch and start putting cunsumers above profits. Its like when Nintendo made N64 and was completely arrogant or Sony launching PS3.

Apple needs to be put in its place and taught not everybody bows down to you. Steve Jobs is just to brilliant and smart and can keep Apple on top, but with him gone maybe they will loose some steam and be brought down to their competitors levels.

Right now its hard for anyone to compete with Apple and thats not good. Competition is what grows industries and pushes advancements etc...etc... without competitors products consumers are left with no choice but to purchase from one company. Android is putting up a hell of a fight and so is Microsoft. But Apple is just to strong. But if the playing field was evenned out a bit I think it would benefit not only consumers but Apple itself, maybe not financially but it would help build the company into something a bit more respectable!
