I only played Resistence 2 and it did felt average. I couldn't tell which features were in the first one.

Btw, this features bring me back to the times were you would try to collect all the weapons in the game and would also fight to get each and every health avaible.

Dead Space has the same deal with health not rising all by itself, but it's a survival horror, sort of...
