The #1 unequivocally most-requested feature for the PlayStation 3 has been cross game chat. Before the PS3 ever hit store shelves, Sony used it to demonstrate some of the features the PS3 was capable of. Turns out it’s not capable of cross game chat after all.

It’s been the PS3′s most glaring omission thus far, and the inclusion of cross game chat on the upcoming PlayStation Vita, only made the lack of cross game chat on the PS3 stick out like the most sore thumb ever.

So what can we learn from this??

Well first of all playstation fans want cross game chat MORE than ps2 emulation.
YES you read that correctly.  The #1 requested feature on the PSN is cross game chat.
This was REALLY SHOCKING to me because I assumed PS2 emulation would easily be #1

All the sony fans here who think they are clever for copying and pasting gifs and pics asking "who gives a flying fuck"  or "on that day not one single fuck was given" are lying to themselves and other.  The truth is that a HUGE MAJORITY of playstation fans want cross game chat more than anything else.  I am just amazed at the vast amount of denial amongst my sony brethren.  I am an xbox guy but my bro owns a ps3 and he hates not having cross game chat.  In fact, sometimes he and his friends will use MY xbox 360 for cross game chat while they play their ps3s  because they are so annoyed with the dearth of communications that the ps3 affords.

Another huge issue is in regards to the ps3 being "FUTUTRE PROOF" & "ONLY DOING EVERYTHING".  Both of these statements have been proven patently false long ago, but the fact that the incalcuably omnipotent cell processing, be all and end all supercomputer (aka the ps3) cannot render a simple feature like cross game chat speaks volumes about its technological impotence.

So there you have it .  Ignore the "meh i never use that anyway" and "if i wanted cross game chat i would use my cell phone" and "who cares" comments.  These people are either in denial, ignorant or in the niche minority of playstation owners who don't want cross game chat.

The truth is, even sony knows cross game chat is an enormous deal which why they are vociferously touting and promulgating the feature in the ps vita.
