Nobody cares to discuss news unless its highly controversial (like when someone unveils a new DRM scheme or something), you need to give people something to bicker over, which is why the list war threads are so easy

The trick is to create a thread that contributes information but that also encourages discussion and multifarious opinions

I know, this is what happened to my thread about PS3 not having enough RAM for cross-party chat. Everyone comes to criticise/defend the console.

But I like providing information whether I get 1000 replys or not. I'm fine with getting a few replys. If I wanted hits I would just make a thread called 'X console sucks balls' and I would be guaranteed to have many replys.
