Today all Canadian's know that one of our greatest leaders Jack Layton died. All across the country candle light viduals are being held and Canadian's across all political spectrums are mourning his loss.

Then today Prime Minister Harper who had been in poltical battle with Harper since he joined the NDP. Gave his condolances and respect for Layton. I myself shed a tear (Didn't start balling) but I was sad and cried abit.

But the thing is I'm not an NDP voter, nor most of the time did I agree with Mr.Layton. Infact I vote Conservative and in most cases my ideologies and such did not match his. Yet I saw his passion, I saw his kindness I saw his love for my country. He touched me in a way even many members of my own belief system (Conservatives/Christian's) have in the past.

This man was a true hero to me. He despite dying of cancer went out and fought for Canada he went on fighting for what he believed. He was a man of great courage and never showed weekness.

So is their someone you disagree with, yet inspires you.

Do you have a hero, that you don't even agree with? Maybe a person of a different religion, maybe a person from a different political party, different country, sexual orientation?

Is their someone you disagree with, yet see as a hero? Whats makes this woman/man a hero to you, despite your disagreements with?

Think hard because I'm sure if you do all of us have somebody who inspires us, who we look up too, yet disagree with in many cases. These hero's should be recognized.

This person can be alive right now, died centuries ago. Who is your disagreed hero?

*** Please do not attack the views of a leader you disagree with, keep it civil. Talk about anyone who you may disagree with yet inspires you and is a hero in high regard. ****
