I'm being completely honest here...I do not think it looks good. My first reaction was that it was really jaggy. Granted, I am spoiled by looking at PSP games. But, how can you say it looks good just because it's 3D? If it's bad looking 3-D, I'm not sure it matters...I think it would look better in 2D.
The N64 games look terrible now compared to current games, so I guess even if it is that powerful, the PSP being about as powerful as the PS2 is certainly much better. I'm not hating on DS games, I just disagree that the graphics are good for this game.
As for sales, FF: CC only sold 1.36 million on the GC. I'm not sure it will beat PSP's best selling game, GTA: Liberty City Stories, that sold 3.85 million (someone suggested it would sell better than any PSP game, in case you are wondering why I say this). I guess it'll beat Need For Speed Most Wanted (1.41 million).
However, no way it beats FF7: Crisis Core for the PSP. GoW: Chains of Olympus might beat it as well (Japan is nuts for DS, so who knows). We'll see.
I just can't say that is good 3-D graphics.
