The best example I can come up with right now is St. Odo of Cluny, a Catholic saint, and his work Collationum Libri Tres. In that book (page 133) he sais that beyond women's appearent grace, they have dirtiness inside them, and since men do their best to avoid touching vomit and munure with even their fingertips, why would they even want to hold in their arms a pathetic bag of excrements (i.e., a woman). If you check out the works of all proeminent Christian thinkers and personalities back then, you'll see that they all had similar views.
