For me, my best memories probably come from The World Ends with You. I didn't get my DS Lite until it had already been out for about 6 months, so I had a fairly hard time finding it at first (ending up making a 40 minute drive to the MoA, since it was the only place left near my house that had it in stock).
Having said that, the game was totally worth it. The urban setting was fantastic, and I loved messing around with all the quirks of the battle system, experimenting with new pins, etc. And best of all, the story sucked me right in. The characters were all believable, and everyone had at least one trait that you had to like (except for Joshua, maybe). At the very least, the motivation behind every character's action felt real. My favorite game this gen alongside Chrono Trigger DS (had never played it before, but technically not from this gen, so I shan't go into detail).
