I guess my faith would technically be placed under non-denominational, since it follows the same belief structure. Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox (Protestant less-so) frustrate me with their traditions and practices that have no founding on God's word and are simply there because that is how it has always been done. I was raised in a household that encouraged you to challenge your beliefs and have an open mind, and as such, that fostered a strong core belief that the only way to be saved is through the acceptance and understanding that Jesus is the son of God and only through him, not through works, do I achieve salvation.

My father was protestant and my mother was catholic growing up, but as they grew older they challenged their beliefs. Becoming stagnant and simply believing something for the sake of simply doing what your family has done for generations is a dangerous road. Questions are good, and the bible has answers. It is when man tries to fill the gaps with their own ideas and ideals that problems arise, which is why when I have questions worth raising I turn to the bible and see if it has a reasonable response. Never has science, or man, provided me with a question or answer that has successfully superseded my faith in the bible.

(On a side note...) Remember guys, it takes at least as much faith to believe in science or any other belief that you may have, so calling someone insane for being religious is not a very intellectual response. In fact, I am sure it would make others, with similar beliefs, upset with you as well.
