Honestly the number of exclusives isnt that relevant.. the GOAL of each console maker is to sell alot of games.. Sony's strategy is to publicly talk about having alot of exclusives.. but these arent the good old PS2 days.. 3rd party or 1st party matters less.. Most of the good games are multi platform titles now..

There are a lot of exclusives left off of that list for both consoles, mainly the 360, so I hope that was sarcasm. Both companies have very different strategies when it comes to 1st and 2nd party development which is why this whole feud is next to pointless.

Most websites Ive found seem to show more 360 only titles, but its hard to get a hard count.. but your point above is valid and solid thinking.. Ive pretty much disregarded the talk about exclusives and whose better .. they matter.. but both consoles have enough exclusives to have a solid line up.. I think MS has done well considering this is only their 2nd system and they entered a console race dominated by two well known contenders that have sold alot of system.. I think next gen they could do even better because they learned a huge lesson in the importance of better product reliability testing for the next gen.. MS also makes consoles more 'developer friendly' .. easier to program for and still powerful.. alot of hype was built around the PS3 CPU, but at the last minute they nerfed the PS3 GPU and downgraded the memory system to save money or the PS3 wouldve been over a grand on release.. the 360 actually has a more powerful GPU and most games are GPU reliant/boud , not CPU.. The result is developers have to spend many more hours doing optimizations to tap the power of the PS3.. taping the 360's power has proven easier.. Next gen Sony needs more balance in the system.. basically Cell is being held back by other parts of the PS3.. it can never reach its full potential in the PS3..
