Man, why are American's so upset about Obama's Bus?

I coulda swore Obama ordered new Buses... because in fact the secret service just bought busses for each campaign and he bought some new ones that were all retrofitted and such

I remember people talking about it because he did it back when people were pissed about wasteful spending while there was a big arguement about how expensive they were.

I doubt the president spends his time looking through bus cataloges though.  I mean if you want a funny government story involving sercret service government money....

When did I say they were not new buses?

Point is, previously Clinton and and Bush rented from the same manufacturer (which removes the entire Canada arguement) and the Secret Service completely retrofitted the busses with higher security stuff and other items. Then when the president was done, they removed the stuff and returned the buses.

This time Obama simply bought them so they don't need to remove all the stuff later. Overall cost probably was close to the same.

In the long run, it doesn't really matter and it probably wasn't even his choice. Just something someone decided to do as a potential cost saving measure over the long run as you don't have to remove all the security and other enhancements. They can simply reuse the same buses in the future.

EDIT: Also, your source confirms what I said.

You said it was the same type of bus too... which it's not even close.
