Samsung > Apple

Eh I'm not so sure about that anymore. My Nexus S recently got "burn-in" on the screen (I think I got it from playing Eternity of Symphony with auto brightness settings on while playing on the bus on a sunny day. You can see a burn-in imprint of my thumb. lol. Though you really only notice it on a grey background. But it's still annoying. I really don't feel like sending it in to Samsung to replace the screen because I'll be without the phone for awhile, it doesn't affect performance and I only really notice it when I pull down the notification bar and look at the list of my notifications (you can see it in the grey background).

It's such a shame because I like the Nexus S (get fast Android updates directly from Google. And since it's a stock Android phone there is no manufacturer brand bloatware slowing it down). And the AMOLED screen is beautiful. But those damn AMOLED screens are prone to burn-in. I might exchange the phone right before my Samsung warranty is up. But yeah I really don't feel like having to be without my phone for awhile. Just because you have a warranty in place, doesn't give you an excuse to make shoddy hardware (ie. the Xbox 360 situation for years). Apparently Samsung's other AMOLED phones have the same problem. And the Nexus One (also a "pure Google" phone, but made by HTC) also has this problem apparently with the AMOLED screen.

If they continue to use AMOLED screens with the Nexus line, I'll probably get some other Android that comes with Stock Android when I'm in the market for a new phone or maybe just get whatever quality HTC they have at the time. The G2 on T-Mobile had Stock Android I believe so hopefully HTC continues that G line with stock Android. Not exactly the biggest fan of HTC Sense. But I'd rather not deal with another AMOLED screen again.
