Preorders chart is US only, where the 360 has a 12 million lead, and it has higher attach rates (ie 360 owners buy more games on average).
Many will (have already) said that it is because the PS3 has a more diverse userbase. This is true to a certain degree, but I think the first point is the more significant one.
