Suppress your inner fanboy. I agree with you when you say Forza 4 will look better overall, but you can't deny Gran Turismo 5 looks better in certain aspects and that it will at least be CLOSE to Forza 4. Your comparisons are unfair, those screenshots that Turn 10 released might not be representitive of the final product. If you have the right lighting, textures and the perfect camera angle, you can make any car look identical to real life in PHOTO mode. The real comparison is between in-game performance (which can't be compared yet) and replay performance. While replays are not as important as in-game graphics, I still think GT5's replays looked better than the replay footage released for Forza 4 so far. I'm not quite sure why you said Gran Turismo 5 doesn't anti-alias. Replays are native 1080p whilst in-game graphics are 1280x1080 with 2xQAA, in 720p mode it's 720 with 4xMSAA. I can guaruntee you that in Gran Turismo 5, edges are smooth as butter, smoother than Forza 3 is and Forza 4 will be.
As for in-game footage, we will just have to wait and see! |
Dude posting a CGI footage of GT5 against and actual ingame replay of Forza 4 is not great.
And actual ingame replay of GT5 shows a lack of colour ( more inlne with camera footage than real life colours ) and a serious lack of detail in scenery and 2d in alot of places.
Both following videos are off screen for fairness.
