I was more worried about the 500 survival waves... ( of course you could be totally cheesy and only do wave 1 500 times but that kills all the fun and is kind of retarded in my view).

I do waves 1-4 by myself on the fourth Survival stage (get spider kills on waves 2 and 4, with gunship kills on 3 and 4), so it's not much more than doing 1 wave over and over. Also, make sure you get killed whenever you restart, since I've heard of a few people who didn't have their waves saved if they chose to restart in the middle of a wave. I just wish there was a way to get some kind of upgraded weapons during Survival, since I don't think anyone could get past Wave 6 alone (on the fourth map, at least) without being really, really good at the game.

I have actually been trying to beat wave 6 on that same map.

My best so far is kill 3 hectors and all bugs.

I was left with Gunships and 1 hector ( Gunships are not really a problem).

best i can do is end wave 5 with my original tank still around 500 health and you get a new tank and full health restore so I think it's possible to beat wave 6 ( wave 7 is going to be something else though).

The problem I have with Survival mode, especially if I play alone, is that the Hectors seem way more aggressive than they usually are. Also, their machine gun attack seems to hit me way too often in Survival, no matter how I try to dodge it. This results in my health getting drained rather quickly, which doesn't help with the gunships and their damn laser attack. I wonder how unbalanced the Survival mode would be if they allowed you to choose the other armors.

I fight the Hectors in the tank so it doesn't matter which armor I use.

I'm getting my ass kicked in chapter 2 mission 5 in hard mode with armor 6 by the way...

Stupid AI bots are useless when there are ticks around and there's 2 spider bombers +2 mantis at the end that keeps owning me...

Yeah, that fight gave me hell, too. I think I just ended up grinding until level 7 on my Trooper and had already bought the DLC weapons, then went back with El Gigante (level 7 rocket launcher, I think) and owned them. I think I must've died like 5-6 times on 2-5.
