I never got the hate for that game, i liked it. Charming like the mainline paper mario games and the ability to choose and alternate different characters kept things nice and varied I could see people being mad at the game for not being a traditional paper mario, but as a spinoff it did quite well |
It was like it wasn't even a game. It was like the restricted, scripted introduction to a game, stretched out over 15-20 hours, and then it was done. Not only that, it had no style. If it was a style over substance exercise, that would be one thing, but the game world was boring and poorly drawn, and the story was tedious. It was like eating cotton candy for supper, except the cotton candy was cardboard flavored.
"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."
