After reading the other post (the one that said 80% minorities), I went to google and tried to find a graph to refute your statement. I found so much confilicting information that I just said fuck it. Some graphs, pie charts, and reports supported the claim. Others totally contradicted it. Most had whites at about 1/3 and black at 1/3 with Hispanics, Indians, and other making up the final third. Still, considering that blacks are only 13-18% of the United States population, that was still pretty bad. Another that I stumbled across said that 1 of every 10 blacks would go to jail and yet another showed that close to 75% of inmates on death row were white.
There's a lot of variables (shameless plug for Rocketpig's comic, Variables. Check it out at www.selfcentent.com ) that we aren't taking into account in this thread and we probably won't take the time to sort things out. It's not as black and white as we may think it is.
