Why didn't/couldn't EA make the wiimote?

Who would want to play nhl/madden/fifa on a freaking "mote"? Judging by the sales on HD-consoles and wii, not a lot of people.

Nice statement there. I think there is one company who hasn't ever deserved to be in the games industry. I just can't say it because one mod would ban me instantly.

......................and they're the 3 gametypes you thought didn't work and they still offered traditional controls. Golf and Tennis are obvious fits for MC because Nintendo already showed them how to do it.

My point isn't that EA didn't take advantage of the Wii once it released, they would have been fools not to after the success of Wii Sports, my point is that they have tons of/all the sports games (physical motion sim

s) that they are supposed to be expert at yet they never thought of making a peripheral like other publishers did for their genres.

 

Another question, why didn't EA make a 3rd party wiimote or camera for PS3/360, Nyko and Ubisoft managed it? They could have had one ready by holidays '08 and beat Kinect and Move to the punch. What did Kinect and Move launch with? Sports games. 10M and 8M respectively, right?
