Bad definitions.
Atheist: Somebody who lacks a belief in any form of deity
Theist: Somebody who has a belief in a form of deity
Agnostic: Somebody who believe it is impossible to prove or disprove the existence of a deity
Neither atheism or theism require absolute belief (just belief) and neither of them are mutually exclusive with agnosticism. As for being an atheist - the main thing it means is that I don't believe there is a god. Of course I understand what there being no god means in terms of an afterlife as well - when we die we're dead and it is the end.
