Jealous of what? There are people who embarassed themselves on American Idol that were better than her.

Jealous of her success and money, not talent.

Her family was already rich, and considering how hated she is, I don't really think you can call her successful. What 14-year-old would want to recieve death threats?

Then why would people go to such lengths to antagonize her?

As bad is it makes humanity look, I think because it's fun. She kinda has all the necessary qualities to become a target of people's hate: she's a rich spoiled privileged girl, who wants to be a a singer despite having no talent whatsoever, whose parents pay a studio to make a music video for her. Add the fact that Friday is probably one of the worst songs ever written, and you have a not so unique combo of some of the worst things wrong with pop culture today. In a way, it's kinda hard to NOT hate her.
