This is laughable. You know how much money goes into R&D to create a controller like the Wiimote?

The UbiSoft camera cost them alot to develop and look what good that did them on the Wii. EA is making a shit load on its software it doesn't need to create new hardware. As others have said it would be difficult for EA to make a controller like the Wiimote not only would they have to use technologies they've never used before but they'd have to beat Nintendo , Sony and Microsoft to them.

Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo spends hundreds of millions a year on R&D and you expect EA to compete releasing unique hardware? Also what good would an EA wiimote do? You'd only get a few EAGames and I doubt a controller with only four or five games would be as successful as the Wiimote was.

Look at UDraw its successful but can you imagine if Nintendo had produced it? Or Sony? Fact is third party peripherals just don't do as well as first party peripheral's. They don't get the support first party does and they have to invest and risk alot more capital then Nintendo would. Also I love how the guy put pictures up of supposed third party peripherals and lists SingStar with the big Sony label right in the center lol.

Fact is not its a stupid idea for EA or any third party to invest millions in a peripheral only their software will use unless they know it will sell big time. Which I'm sorry but EA clearly stated when Wii launched that the Wiimote wouldn't sell, so why would they have built one?
