I haven't looked into it, but I think you basically only need a PC to download and copy the homebrew stuff on an SD card and insert that one in your Wii. With a few easy steps you should then be able to play games from other regions.

The basic principle of overriding region coding is always the same: When the console checks the region of the game (which only happens once, when the game is booted up), something tricks the console into believing that it's starting a game of the appropriate region, but instead a game of a foreign region will be loaded.


I'm not too into the home brew situation but a friend of mine told me it was easier to buy an external hard drive and enclosure to mess with the Wii region as there is a chance of some problems to do it other ways. Didn't cost me much anyways.
