Yah your sorta right. Right now the countries invading us are USA, Russia and Greenland. All three countries are claiming more and more Canadian waters and soil for themselves. Its so bad that our Prime Minister deployed the army to keep them at bay. If a war were to start chances are one of those three would be the one invading Canada. We could take Greenland but without a tougher military the US or Russia would walk right over us. Yet another reason Canada should arm itself to the teeth. Wheres our aircraft carriers and battleships and our air force.

The only thing preventing USA and Russia from invading us for our resources. It would lead to WWIII because Russia wouldn't let the US take over Canada. US wouldn't let Russia take over Canada. And if either of them tried the whole Common Wealth would be on their ass. But that doesn't mean Canada should sit defenceless, we need a kick ass army to defend us!


I don't think any amount of Canadian spending could make it so the USA wouldn't walk right over you in a war.  The US is just... bigger, and more advanced technology wise... and can just spend waaaaaay more in R&D. 

Russia, has stagnated a lot tech wise, so Russia you could get out ahead of probably....

but the USA..... honestly, your better off just staying on the USA's good side, buying all the US most advanced tech once it hits the market, then when the US has a huge fiscal problem or something, convince them to buy the most advanced tech you can get... and start from there.

 

To use a videogame term, the US Miltiary has a heavy case of SNK Boss Syndrome going on.  Unbeatable unless you use the cheapest most underhanded not even playing the same game you would vs any other opponent tactics.


If your worried about the US, i'd invest more in tunnel building technology and undetectable weapon caches and weapon smuggling routes like Afghanistan.
