Why doesn't the world recognize Canada's military contributions?

As part of the commonwealth, we (I) know what Canada has done and appreciate your help in WWI and II, along with then help Australia, New Zealand and many other commonwealth countries provided during these wars. I appreciate the help all nations involved have provided in modern conflicts as well.

It's a shame the US owns most of the film industry and games with USAian characters sell. See U-571 as a major example. (appeal to your biggest market).
