It is a double standard. Even if we take your explaination of why its done it is still a double standard. You are just making excuses for the double standard that's all.

That makes no sense. Following your logic straights should never have any complaints from the government, and gays will never have any rights. Since most of the government may also have white men, affirmative action should also not exist. The very situation we are discussing involves a straight guy asking for something, not a gay.
Your theory of every white man/straight human thinks the same is ridiculously dumb, because there are a lot of different views among the whites and straights.
