And what we get back?
Lousy roads, airports and infrastructure in general. Our subways (the two of them) are ridicoulous, with São Paulo being the most packed one in the world and Rio having only two lines than run in a North - South course, covering 10-15% of the city. We don't have a railroad system for people to use, only for goods, and even then, it's limited. And goes on and on.
So please, don't complain as if you got a lousy government that charges you so much and unfairly, making you pay for other people gain.
Having travelled through Uk and US, I can tell you that this transportation infra you have creates much wealth. I could made things in both countries that in Brasil would be difficult to impossible, allowing me to spent money in places that otherwise would be unreachable. So, get a little perspective, before supporting this crazy ideas of the tea party movement.

The Tea Party basically wants us to have lousy things like in your country so that the rich people don't have to pay to help anybody else out.
