E3 2011 will be the next showing

Fall 2011 release global

Comedy, error, or comedy of errors?

nah pretty serious prediction

FFXIII-2 coming this year and Q1 2012 in NA and EU

so VERSUS should be on-time for a 2012 fall release

won't go beyond that as generation would be coming to an end

PS3 should be $150 by then with good install numbers

console announcements in 2013 followed by there release in 2014-2015.

PS3 will not beable to drop price to $150.00 by yr end 2012 or 20115. it will likely happen after this gen ends around 2016.

that would be too long a stretch

noway is theis gen going to last till beyond 2014,it will get overlaped but stay on like the PS2

with Wii U releasing a successor will surely be released by MS in by next year or 2013.Sony would soon follow

PS3 will easily drop to $150 by 2013 if not 2012

i hear ya but the pricing stratagey doesn't match a 2012 150 price point unless they release a a new slim design that would allow for that. 2012 is just to early and to big. think about it. its just not logical. Sony would be taking a hit to big for them to take.

Sony would have to drop to $199.99 by the end of this yr for a $150 price drop to happen next yr or 2013 for that matter.

i think Sony will make continuous small price drops till the launch of PS4 which would benefit them better.

wht do you think about this. it maybe to consistant:

without a pricedrop this yr: 2012 $249, 2013 $199, 2014 179.99

with a price drop to $249 this yr: 2012 $199, 2013 $179, 2014 $149. Sony may also fill comfortable with PS3 price at $179 in 2014

wht your suggesting is more drastic and to get close to it i fill Sony would do something alittle more like this: 2012 $249, 2013 $179, 2014 149

Sony would have to go without a price drop do something more drastic for one of those yr to get to $150 by 2013 or 2014.

i can also see sony releasing a slim2 to match the price drop your talking about and eventualy phasing out the other models. Sony can't afford to have PS3 close to the same price as the new model. the new slim modle woul likeyly have a 120g model and a 160g model likely priced $179-$199, or $199-$249 with the announcement in 2012 and 2014 being the lanch of the PS3. i just can't see it any other way.

if the cost of manufacturing goes down signifcantly then i don't see why Sony wouldn't make a new slim model price it $199  and when they announce PS4 drop PS3 price to $149.

so wht cha got noble nobi.
