I mean I have nothing against the gays but if they are allowed a Pride parade then so should the straight. Is the gay community so afraid of the straight community? And the gays are allowed to celebrate valentine's day, really. Its nothing related to heterosexuality. Also because gays are facing discrimination doesn't make it ok to discriminate against heteros. The comparison with homeless people doesn't work because this is a social problem not a financial problem. At present the only thing that the authorities consider is the sexual orientation. And that is pretty discriminating. Just because one was discriminated in the past doesn't mean he has the right to discriminate now. |
The comparisson to the homeless is fitting, as helping the homeless is a social issue, not a financial one.
I also fail to see how heterosexual are discriminated against. And gays have every reason to be weary of heteroseuxals, considering they're their oppressors.

Helping the homeless is a social issue that is tackled by issuing funds. Its not tackled by taking away homes from the one's that have shelter.
One thing you have to understand is that not all heterosexuals are oppressors. So making laws/privileges that only benefit one section of the society and not allowing the other is pretty discriminatory. Even if they are the minority.
