"So you think gays should be denied the right to get married simply because the Bible says it's wrong and we should deny them this right even though empirical evidence says it's wrong. "

Why should I dont want gay marriage ? What has all of my comments to do with the stuff you just said ? I already said not beeing able to disprove something doesnt mean its right (or wrong)

" It's an interesting philosophical notion you've got there but how does it aplly to creating the best possible world for the most amount of people when all of the things that they believe are in conflict?"

I never voiced any philosophical notions. I never said anything is right or wrong, nohing in my post was opinion except the first one where I said that the christian mythos is the most influencial one . Through the things I said you wont be able to determin what I think. I just wanted to explain you why its impossible to disprove religion thats scientific fact and not opinion.

But If you want to know what my opinion is here:

If 2 people love each other they should be able to get married. I disprove the disproval of gay marriage from church side.

You probably misunderstood me right from the start and mistook my postings as opinion. This was not a philosophical debate.

It appears to me that you're either trying to say nothing is true or everything is true.  And you're saying that religion can never be proved wrong.  However, if religion makes a claim about something measurable like that about the age of the earth, for one example, and all scientific evidence that comes back on the subject from various sciences like geology and astronomy  says the religion's claim isn't supported by the data, then I think that has to stand as a strike against the religion.  You surely can't have the earth be both 5 billion years old and 6,000 years old at the same time if that's what you're trying to say.
