Myth's are usually if not always proven false and since nobody can prove that the stories in the New Testiment to be false then they are not myths. Even if you could prove the old testiment false you still couldn't prove Christianity to be a myth since Christianity is mainly based on the teachings and following of Christ which is irrifutable. It's stupid that yet again some extremists are trying to use this as a chance to attack Christian's. Though they are only a very small margin of the posters in this thread it is still juvinile. Just because you believe differently doesn't mean its okay to start making fun of someone's religious beliefs by calling them myths when scientifically and archeologically you can't prove that they are. Oh well I probably shouldn't get to involved in this thread or Sapphi will join and then it will be a repeate of almost every thread that myself and Sapphi duke it out in (Mainly threads and posts attacking Christianity). |
You can't prove that Greek mythology (for instance) is not real either. Something has to be proven true to know it's not false. If we had to prove something is false, we wouldn't be able to disprove anything.
Spaghetti Monster theory. I guess you know it, but I could believe that a Spaghetti monster created the universe and you can't disprove it. Therefore it's not a myth?
Not attacking Christianity, I respect your beliefs. But your logic is flawed. It's ok to be a christian, of course, but if you do so do it based on faith alone and do not try to find some logic. If it was that logical everyone would be a christian. Just follow your faith, that's ok.
