I don't like the idea of restricting immigration for non-economic means personally, but there is all sorts of scientific study of social harmonization (and otherwise) and its impact on crime, economic growth, happiness etc.  To discount the views of these people is ridiculous, and totally contrary to notions of freedom of speech.

You've clearly not gathered what it is to really be left wing, and that is tolerance.

Regarding the part in italics, that's not really possible in the modern world. You can't isolate yourself and live in a little bubble. Not to mention that it's precisely contact with different cultures that leads to actual progress as opposed to stagnation (isolated cultures have always lagged behind cultures that interact and mix with others).

Conservative media is far more proemintn than you think. And as I said, not every position regarding an issue is logical and worth noting. Take for example this view, expressed by a poster in this very topic: THE SINGLE GOAL of every muslim is to work and do everythink in their power to cretate world caliphate and they will not stop until they do it. Now, such a view is not only false, but extremely dangerous. A responsible media outlet, if presenting this view on behalf of someone, shouldn't leave it at that, but present arguments disproving it, else easily manipulated masses will view it as a fact (which is actually the purpose of conservative media outlets, and their fear mongering campaigns). If there's one thing that shouldn't be tolerated, it's ideologies that inherently promote intolerance.
