I firmly disagree with nia-strain's views.

But it is just this sort of intolerance of discussion and opinion from the liberal media (who ironically are meant to be most in favour of tolerance of expression) that has led to right wing groups feeling marginalized, the first stage in the emergence of people like Anders Behrin Breivik.

What liberal media? The several media outlets worldwide owned by Rupert Murdoch? Also, you should realize that not every view is logical and worth considering.

Liberal media is far more prominent than the likes of Murdoch's empire, it just isn't nearly as demonized.

I don't like the idea of restricting immigration for non-economic means personally, but there is all sorts of scientific study of social harmonization (and otherwise) and its impact on crime, economic growth, happiness etc.  To discount the views of these people is ridiculous, and totally contrary to notions of freedom of speech.

You've clearly not gathered what it is to really be left wing, and that is tolerance.

There's a difference between declaring a bad idea to be what it is and wishing for it to be discouraged and wishing for it to be outlawed in a way that would violate our human right to free expression.

We must tolerate other ideas to the extent that we cannot outlaw them, but we can certainly do everything in our power to marginalize them
