I was takink in count the estimations of production of 6 million by end march ....if Sony cant achieve these numbers then things would change for sure but I dont think this objetivo is very far from reality .Sony produces its own hardware and in the Playstation 3 they have also hired Asustek and another company ....once they have the production proceess controlled (and right now they seem to have improved significantly ) they can ramp up production way faster than Microsoft or Nintendo .As for the total number of consoles sold for 31 dec I dont know ...1,5 million is a good guess but I am hearing from the boards of many sites news about massive shipments right now and a strategy by some stores to sell many units the 31 that they have been stocking up ...plus in Japan the strong week is this next week not this one and they have saved consoles for then ...maybe they wont be far off of the 2 million consoles they expected to sell .
