kakao talk is a good texting app.
It's on the App Store for free and you can even exchange txt messages with Android users with Kakao Talk.
That can be a solution for the moment. Because when iOS5 launches, it'll have iMessage anyway which is a free txting app from Apple for use between all iDevie owners with iOS5.
