For me it would be control, i need to feel i have control over my character. When i press a button or move the stick a certain amount i expect my character to do what i'm saying. A tiny bit of delay or not exact movement is what bothers me. Many gamers just think all FPS games are the same but each one has a very different feel to them. I would say for most they found this in CoD, and along with fast and smooth gameplay they have one of the best selling games ever.
This of course changes from gamer to gamer, i for one can't use motion controls but others love them.
