English is easy to speak but difficult to spell. (for example, "speak" I would spell it speek or better yet, spic, I have to know and remember that it is spelled speak) I was like WTF, when I saw that spelling tools were many and of high importance for english writing, but since I use it every day, I have to use a spellchecker and am glad they exist. It's kinda ridiculous to use one in my native language, since over 90% of what you hear is what you write, which is nice. But not in English.

The spelling will be reformed whether those who are against it like it or not, since, proud as most of those are for it being the de facto international language, it also means it's not theirs anymore.
PS: Often I hate trying to remember how to spell words in English.
